BIO:
David Loti is a high-energy dreamer with a guitar, a drum set, a keyboard, and a microphone. He grew up in Baton Rouge, LA and co-fronted comedy rock band A Soup Named Stew (opening for such acts as Puddle of Mudd, Lyfe Jennings, Josh Turner, and The Hanks) for over four years before relocating to Vancouver, BC to work on a Master of Divinity degree at Regent College. As a solo act, Loti switches between playing guitar and playing drums and keyboard simultaneously. He has opened for and performed with national acts Matt & Kim, Eric Peters, Glenn Kaiser, and Jonny Diaz. His third solo record, Amalgam, features a mixture of Loti's drum and keyboard-driven and guitar-driven rock songs. Amalgam should resonate with fans of Ben Folds, Counting Crows, Matt & Kim, R.E.M., and They Might Be Giants.
The musically gifted Loti is an avid guitar player and can dominate the drums and keyboard simultaneously while cranking out lead vocals. One would swear that with an extra pair of arms, Loti could be heralded as the first one-man quartet in history.

David Loti's showmanship is entertainment of the highest quality. Give David a microphone, and he becomes the Human Cartoon. Yet, beneath all the entertainment, his lyrics, tone and passion prevail to a depth and spirituality rarely seen.

I have been incredibly lucky not only to play music on many occasions with David, but more lucky to be his friend. His music is inspiring and his friendship is invaluable. I hope that you will take the opportunity to enjoy his talent as much as I have.

David Loti of the local indie pop group A Soup Named Stew has proven himself a solo jack of all trades, singing his clever, funny, heartfelt pop, playing drums and the keyboards—simultaneously.
